Rating: 8.5/10

I know the Hyperion mold is obsolete but that doesn’t take away from this being a good figure. Crazy how much of a difference some new parts of just one part can make a difference to making it likable. I know the paint isn’t great on mine and I hope it’s not like that across all crossbones which is why I couldn’t give it a higher rating because I can only speak to what I have and seen on hand. The white where the stripe meets the start of his skull mask should’ve been coated the same way.

The accessories are only lacking on the Yon Rogg reuse guns. The other two mini shotguns are cool though. But equipping him with weapons from the last crossbones figure makes it so much better. Alt hands like closed fists could’ve definitely raised his fun factor and replay value so much higher. I’m a fan of the OG crossbones look so I think OG crossbones fans will love it too.

I’m just happy that they made him attainable for casual collectors since the first one was a Walmart exclusive wave that used to go for $300+ on eBay and the SDCC version was well, you know how big of a shit show it is to get a SDCC exclusive and especially an entire box set. So for the $19.99 price point, yes, he’s considered a must buy.

Is this better than the old one? Honestly, I’m still not sure. There are things I love about each of them. Each crossbones bring something different to the table. Whether is sculpt, paint, articulation or accessories. I’ll let you decide that for yourself. It’s growing on me a lot more and I had lots of fun taking pics of him. He’s a really dope figure and I hope you enjoy it whenever you get one.
