FAQ

My Collection

What got you started collecting action figures?

My brother got me started when I was a kid collecting the 90's Toybiz line. I was just a kid and he had a job in high school and every paycheck he would get he would take me to the comic shop or wherever to buy a bunch od X-men, Spider-man, GI Joe, and so many other figures.

What toy lines do you collect?

I used to collect more but now I just have Marvel Legends, Transformers, Star Wars Black Series, Storm Collectibles Mortal Kombat and injustice, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Street Fighter, Mezco. I used to collect DC Universe Classics and Masters of the Universe Classics.

Equipment

What kind of camera do you use?

I use a Canon Rebel T3i for my photography and to record my youtube reviews. I also sometimes use my iPhone X for a quick shot or a quick video.

What kind of Mic do you use?

I use a Blue Yeti mic on a floor stand for recording

Where did you get your dioramas?

I have a few different people I get my dioramas from such as @flashworksart and @henry715. Also my wife Justine (@geekchicstyle) makes some of my dioramas if I need something quick and custom for a shot.

What kind of lights do you use?

I use adjustable Articture Lamps from Home Depot for my main tabletop lighting with 100 watt daylight bulbs. I also use Portable Task Lights because they are small and can be used as good backlighting.

What shelves do you use for your collection room?

I use these shelves from Walmart for my collection. They are easy to put together and have pretty large shelf space for displaying.

What kind of lights do you use on your collection shelves?

I use LED strip lights in daylight white on my shelves. They are adhesive and you can cut them to size.

Where do you get your effects and props?

A lot of the props are just reused and repurposed from different toy lines, like WWE, MiWorld, ect. Some props are found at craft stores in the dollhouse section and my wife makes some of them for me. I also purchase a lot of my effects from Can of Beams.
